We know God speaks to us through His written word. Some believe that He speaks in other ways also: nature, circumstances, other people, etc. But I wanted to know Him more intimately so my prayer life became running conversations. Conversations that were just one sided – but I was OK with that. And then one day I "heard" a small voice in reply. I was sure I make it up, then it got louder when I didn't pay attention and finally it spoke up – and I was stopped in my tracks. God was speaking to me!!! ME!!! Had I not been listening all along? Maybe so. Thus began my Mindful Conversations with my awesome God.
